Meet Friends Through Blogging
In today’s modern world, meeting new friends has taken on a new meaning. If in the past we were relegated to meeting other people in school, or in parties and other similar gatherings, nowadays, making friends is as easy as typing ABC and clicking the mouse. And the reason for this is something that we call blogging.
Blogging, which is a concept quite similar to diary or journal writing, has become incredibly popular in almost all parts of the world. Since bloggers normally write about issues that are close to their hearts; topics that they are familiar with, they attract mostly visitors/readers who share their passion for things that they write about.
There is a blogging community composed of IT professionals; one that is made up of young mothers; and yet another one that is composed of photography enthusiasts. Bloggers who are focused on information technology can share ideas, opinions and tips regarding IT-related issues like the latest software and hardware, and even the latest gadgets. Young mothers can blog about their daily experiences and surprising discoveries about family and motherhood, while photography enthusiasts can exchange information about the latest techniques in photography and at the same time, share their favorite photographs online.
Some schools create blogs for their students. These blogs may contain information about school issues and relevant activities that students can react on. It presents a good practice of effective communication between students and administration.
There are also companies that encourage their employees to blog, especially those that cater to the IT industry. Blogs can be a form of self-expression and they can be great venues where employees are free to voice out their opinions or suggestions about pertinent company matters.
Blogging is an activity that allows users to connect to people all over the world. Therefore, it gives bloggers the opportunity to get in touch, or get to know, fellow bloggers from different parts of the world. This can be a good learning experience, especially if both bloggers are open to the idea of sharing knowledge about their country, their language and their people.
Of course, like the way things are outside of the blogging world, there will be people who have nothing but bad intentions in mind. Most bloggers, the sensible ones, leave these nuisance friends alone. Normally, they do not respond to the comments.
The concept of making friends through blogging is a little bit like having pen pals. Pen pals communicate with each other through letters and only meet personally when they feel that the right time has come. Blogging is quite similar in the sense that one gets to meet new friends not at a party or an event, but through communicating online.
Blogging is a concept whose time has come. Right now, it is one of the best ways to get to know other people. So if you want to make as many friends as possible, try blogging and see how your life can change!
